Lisa Toppin, Ed.D has built a career as a Human Resources Executive and is currently the head of Workforce and Market Expansion at The Carson Group. She has led Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with Charles Schwab, LPL Financial, and Illumina, Inc. Toppin has also held roles leading HR Delivery and Learning and Development. The Charlotte Business Journal recognized her for her impact in leading DEI with the 2018 Women in Business award. Toppin is a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and continues to practice Strengths training and coaching today.
Dr. Toppin's academic journey is a testament to her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. She completed her undergraduate education with degrees in Speech Pathology and Psychology at Howard University and George Washington, respectively. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to complete a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations/Human Resources at Rutgers University and a terminal degree in Human Resources Development at George Washington University.
